Some Factors to Consider

What are some factors to consider when thinking about having your rings custom-made?

Start by considering the purpose of the rings. If you want them to symbolize commitment and serious intent, shouldn't they reflect those values? It is in your interest to get the best quality that you can afford in order to reflect the importance of the occasion. That doesn't mean that you should spend beyond your means, however.

A custom-made ring is an expensive purchase, but it will have use over a lifetime and probably beyond, so it may be one of the most enduring purchases you will ever make. Ricco has the experience to help you achieve the right balance between those two objectives: quality and price. Now let us get to specifics.

One important decision is the choice of metal for the ring. Should it be yellow gold, white gold, platinum, or something else? Should it be 14 karat or 18 karat? What's the difference and is it important? Click here for discussion of these questions.

Another important question is what kind of stone to get for the engagement ring. Is a stone really necessary? Does it have to be a diamond? What are some things to consider when buying a diamond? Click here for answers to these questions.
